All the images are created by professional artists and demonstrate bright colors and well-finished edges. This free icon set is a perfect choice for your personal desktop customization.

Each icon includes the following sizes: 32x32, 48x48 and 256x256 pixels. 32-bit color scheme is used, making the set compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista. PNG images in the size of 512x512, as well as AI vector source images, are also included in the archive.

Large Icons also plans to release the following icon packs: Free Icons For Android, Free Icons For iPhone, Free Icons For Facebook, Delicious Vista Icons, Web Design Icons, Realistic Icons For Vista, People Image Icons, Vector Icons For Vista and SEO Tools Icons.

This pack also includes demo icons from Android Developer Icon Pack. Android Developer Icon Pack is a bundle which contains launcher, tab, status bar, list view, menu, dialog icons for Android interface design. Drawn in strict accordance with Android Guidelines for UI icons, the package meets the requirements for applications designed for Android 2.3 and later. What i'd like to see in windows 8 is the desktop icons being developed as tiles. For example the recycle bin will show the number and size of deleted files even when not opening its window.
